Remediation Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Effectively overseeing environmental liabilities in a safe manner

• Executing SGWS site assessments, remediation, and monitoring projects

• Foster a culture of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) performance

• Manage a substantial portfolio of projects across various western Canadian provinces

• Formulate risk management strategies aimed at minimizing soil and groundwater liabilities

• Spearhead and execute nationwide HSSE initiatives and campaigns

• Cultivate and sustain relationships with internal stakeholders

• Oversee financial approvals and expenditures with environmental consultants

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or Science, ideally in geology, hydrogeology, or an engineering discipline

• At least 6 years of experience in environmental project management, site assessments, remediation, and risk and liability management

• Experience working across various regulatory jurisdictions in western Canada

• Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis

• A professional designation in your field would be advantageous

• Experience in HSSE leadership, with a solid understanding of HSSE risks and their mitigations (processes, procedures, behaviors)

• Demonstrated contract management experience, including managing and enhancing contractor performance on complex projects

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to challenge and develop internal and external relationships
