Remarketing Auction Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Proactively oversee and assess vendor performance, ensuring compliance with company standards, while providing corrective actions and recommendations as needed.

• Oversee regional inventory management, which includes tracking transport status, evaluating certification inspections, grading vehicles, estimating reconditioning costs, preparing for sales, and approving sale bids.

• Perform on-site evaluations of auction processes, inventory preparation, and effectiveness of sales.

• Schedule regular status meetings with vendors, auction management, and relevant personnel to review scorecards and reports, ensuring follow-up on any performance deficiencies.

• Negotiate arbitration claims when necessary, in consultation with senior management.

• Identify and capitalize on market arbitrage opportunities.

• Audit auction-related expenses and announcements.

• Track and report travel-related expenses in line with company policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent college experience is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive or remarketing field is required.

• Familiarity with vehicle valuation, reconditioning evaluations, and wholesale remarketing channels is essential.

• Knowledge of macro and regional social/economic trends, seasonality, and significant automotive movements regarding used vehicle pricing is necessary.

• Capability to work autonomously under time constraints and manage competing priorities.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism.

• Adaptability in job responsibilities and openness to procedural changes.

• Proficient PC skills with the ability to navigate multiple platforms.

• Familiarity with NAAA auction policies is highly desirable.

• Experience in frame assessment or writing condition reports is preferred.
