This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• The Relief Camp Manager / Housekeeper is tasked with overseeing the organization, housekeeping, and efficient functioning of LandSea camp facilities.
• Direct all facets of food preparation for the day and ensure proper dating of products.
• Coordinate and assist in the setup and breakdown of stations as designated by the manager.
• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and directions.
• Ensure precise portion control when preparing and serving items on the line.
• Keep daily temperature logs up to date.
• Responsible for sampling all food items on the line before serving to customers.
• Notify management and remove food items that do not meet quality standards.
• Complete checklists for opening and closing stations.
• Welcome customers as they approach and depart from the serving line.
• Inquire about customer satisfaction with the service and address any complaints while maintaining a positive demeanor.
• Help maintain a clean work environment, including floors, work areas, equipment, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Ensure all work areas and serving utensils are sanitized and clean.
• Manage the proper disposal of waste from the service line.
• Facilitate the transfer of supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, either by hand or using a cart.
• Participate in daily safety observations and promptly report any safety hazards to management.
• Cross-train in various areas as required.
• Be prepared to work in concessions, catering, and special events as directed by your manager.
• Execute tasks assigned by your manager on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.
• Complete any tasks requested by a supervisor or member of the Aramark management team.
• Oversee all aspects of service and guide employees on the line to ensure timely and effective customer service.
• Request assistance from utility workers for sanitation issues on the line as necessary.
• Camp Operations
• Oversee daily camp operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Manage camp start-ups, shutdowns, maintenance, and facility management.
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, receiving, and supply levels.
• Ensure accuracy in camp occupancy records and staffing levels.
• Administration
• Complete and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Manage timesheets, incident reports, performance evaluations, and employee records.
• Track budgets, camp expenses, purchasing, and inventory controls.
• Maintain precise operational and financial documentation.
• Staff Leadership
• Supervise housekeeping, kitchen, catering, and maintenance teams.
• Train, coach, and support camp employees.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address any workplace issues.
• Foster teamwork and promote a respectful workplace culture.
• Health & Safety
• Ensure adherence to company safety policies and government regulations.
• Conduct safety meetings and maintain safety records.
• Investigate incidents and complete necessary documentation.
• Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
• Housekeeping & Guest Services
• Oversee room inspections and cleaning schedules.
• Remove garbage and dust shelving.
• Sweep and vacuum the mudroom, hallway, and entrances.
• Check guest lists for room changeovers, both inbound and outbound.
• Report changes and cleaned items accordingly.
• Ensure daily cleaning of bathrooms (floors, toilets, shower stalls, sinks, and mirrors).
• Replenish toilet paper, paper towels, and soap as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in the laundry room; dust and sweep daily, mop every other day.
• Keep linen storage organized and tidy.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.
• Ensure that accommodations, laundry facilities, and common areas meet company standards.
• Address client and guest concerns promptly.
• Provide high-quality customer service in a remote camp setting.
• Wages starting from $22.57 to $24.62 per hour.
