Release Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the comprehensive planning, governance, and execution of production releases within a complex, multi-team, multi-vendor utility enterprise setting.

• Coordinates efforts among Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Architecture, Cyber Security, Privacy, AMS/Operations, Service Desk, and Change Management (CAB).

• Develops and oversees an integrated release calendar encompassing various products and environments.

• Establishes and manages readiness checkpoints (intake → architecture/security/ops readiness → CAB → Go/No-Go).

• Gathers and monitors approvals from necessary governance organizations.

• Facilitates the creation of cutover plans, conducts peer reviews, and rehearsals when applicable.

• Leads Go/No-Go readiness meetings and deployment bridges/war rooms.

• Ensures that monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and logging fulfill operational requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in release management, change management, IT operations, incident/program delivery, or technical delivery leadership within an Enterprise Delivery context.

• Strong familiarity with ITSM change governance (CAB), incident/problem processes, and operational readiness methodologies.

• Proven track record of coordinating cross-functional enterprise releases involving diverse teams and vendors.

• Demonstrated capability to manage detailed cutover plans, readiness gates, risks/waivers, and documentation trails.

• Exceptional facilitation and communication skills (Go/No-Go meetings, war rooms, stakeholder reporting).

• Ability to comprehend technical architectures and inquire appropriately about monitoring, rollback, dependencies, and risks.
