Release Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee cross-functional release projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from planning to deployment.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and DevOps teams to schedule and implement new releases.

• Create and uphold a standardized release process across various applications, including release calendars and readiness criteria.

• Facilitate Go/No-Go meetings to ensure alignment among dependent teams and business lines prior to each release.

• Identify and manage dependencies and risks across teams that may impact release schedules.

• Establish, manage, and communicate release expectations and updates to team members, stakeholders, and clients.

• Lead post-release evaluations and retrospectives to promote continuous enhancement of the release process.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in release management or technical program management overseeing software deployments.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both internal and external clients effectively.

• Strong understanding of common web application architectures and contemporary deployment practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines).

• Proven track record of managing competing priorities across multiple simultaneous projects.

• Self-motivated problem solver capable of driving decisions across teams without direct authority.

• Intermediate proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Claude or similar platforms) to enhance project planning, generate documentation, assess release risks, and boost team productivity, applying suitable judgment and validation.

• Demonstrated ability to build sponsorship and advocacy across organizational levels, fostering the cross-functional support necessary to drive release decisions and secure buy-in without direct authority.
