This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee the collections process for payer balances, establishing targets for days sales outstanding (DSO) and aged accounts receivable (AR).
• Analyze root causes of denials and underpayments; implement process enhancements to minimize recurring challenges.
• Manage comprehensive billing operations, which includes charge capture, claims submission, and denial management.
• Track key performance indicators (clean claim rate, denial rate, collection rate, AR aging) and communicate trends to leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the billing/collections team; establish performance objectives for both individuals and the team.
• Ensure adherence to payer contracts, coding standards, and relevant regulations (such as HIPAA and CMS guidelines).
• Generate monthly reports and forecasts regarding revenue cycle performance.
• Conduct audits and ensure quality control related to billing practices.
• Report directly to the Director of Revenue Cycle.
• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in collections, billing, and/or cash posting in a specialty infusion or oncology healthcare environment.
• In-depth understanding of payer requirements, claims processing, and denial management.
• Proficient in billing/EHR systems and clearinghouses, with strong analytical capabilities.
