Regulatory Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for the notification and registration of food and dietary supplements across Southeast Asian markets.

• Investigate local regulations and convert them into actionable requirements for Vilgain.

• Ensure that products, labels, claims, and supporting documents comply with local regulations.

• Manage registrations, licenses, permits, import requirements, environmental programs, taxes, and other obligations related to market entry.

• Prepare, submit, and maintain regulatory documentation throughout the entire product lifecycle.

• Collaborate with local regulatory consultants, importers, distributors, and other external partners.

• Engage with local authorities to address and resolve regulatory inquiries or challenges.

• Track regulatory changes and evaluate their impact on products or expansion strategies.

• Work alongside Product, Legal, Quality, and Physical Product teams to integrate regulatory requirements into product development processes.

• Aid in new product launches by early identification of regulatory requirements and associated risks.

• Keep regulatory documentation and records accurate, organized, and easily accessible.

• Contribute to the development of scalable regulatory processes and a knowledge base for future expansion in Southeast Asia.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in regulatory affairs or product compliance, ideally in the food, dietary supplements, or a related sector.

• Familiarity with food and/or supplement regulations and various national regulatory frameworks.

• Practical experience with product notifications, registrations, market-entry requirements, or regulatory documentation.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple markets, products, and projects concurrently.

• Excellent research skills, including the ability to read legislation and translate it into actionable steps.

• Proficient English communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders, external partners, and authorities.

• Knowledge of one or more Southeast Asian languages is a significant advantage.

• A proactive and independent approach to work.

• Ability to convey information clearly to diverse stakeholders and to challenge existing methods.
