Regulatory Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, interpret, and convey federal and state regulatory requirements to business stakeholders.

• Collaborate on organization-wide projects, training sessions, and compliance initiatives.

• Review advertisements aimed at consumers and offer regulatory advice to the Marketing team.

• Utilize Encompass to investigate issues at the loan level.

• Address compliance-related inquiries and provide prompt responses.

• Perform transaction testing and monitor loan samples.

• Present findings to management and suggest corrective measures.

• Assist business partners in remediation processes.

• Keep track of regulatory changes, industry trends, and new guidance.

• Draft, review, and maintain policies, procedures, training materials, and various resources.

• Employ AI tools while adhering to governance and security protocols.

• Prepare for and support federal and/or state examinations.

• Execute other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in mortgage compliance.

• In-depth understanding of federal and state mortgage lending regulations, including ECOA, HMDA, RESPA, TILA, UDAAP, ATR/QM, TRID, MAP, CAN-SPAM, SCRA, and TCPA.

• Capability to research, interpret, and apply regulations to business operations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.

• Ability to manage tasks, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Familiarity with ICE Mortgage Technology Solutions, particularly Encompass, is preferred.

• Experience in conducting Fair Lending reviews, including redlining analysis, matched-pair testing, or similar monitoring activities is preferred.

• Ability to prepare and/or submit regulatory reports, such as quarterly HMDA Loan Application Register data and Mortgage Call Reports (MCRs), is preferred.
