This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Acquire practical experience collaborating with in-house legal teams on corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues.
• Perform legal research on pertinent statutes, regulations, and case law related to advertising and compliance with FDA/FTC regulations.
• Assist the Regulatory Attorney in evaluating marketing materials, advertisements, and promotional campaigns to ensure adherence to legal standards.
• Aid in the creation and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and training initiatives to foster awareness and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Relay important updates to stakeholders concerning changes in laws, regulations, and industry developments.
• Prepare legal memoranda, reports, and correspondence to offer insights and recommendations regarding compliance issues.
• Help maintain corporate records, entity databases, and governance documentation.
• Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and process enhancement initiatives across both regulatory and commercial operations.
• Support attorneys and staff with ad-hoc research, project-based tasks, and assist in organizing and maintaining the department’s shared resources and document repositories.
• Currently enrolled Law Student; a college degree is mandatory.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to precision.
• Proven integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Proactive, resourceful, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and cross-functional teams.
• Competent in interpreting statutes and regulations to evaluate their relevance and impact on specific legal matters, especially in advertising and health and wellness.
• Basic knowledge of contract structure, common legal terminology, negotiation principles, and concepts of corporate governance.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple assignments concurrently.
• Proficient in utilizing technology tools including Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, AI technology, and contract management systems for effective document handling and research.
• Research and writing skills consistent with law school training.
• Previous experience in a corporate or legal setting is preferred.
