Regulatory Law Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create evaluation tasks for AI systems operating within the realms of regulatory compliance and government affairs.

• Develop scenarios that encompass the design of regulatory compliance programs, agency investigations and enforcement actions, as well as rulemaking or comment processes.

• Construct tasks related to financial services, healthcare and FDA, antitrust and competition, data privacy and cybersecurity, as well as environmental and energy regulation.

• Formulate scenarios that involve regulatory tracking platforms, compliance management systems, and agency filing systems.

• Utilize regulatory interpretation, compliance risk assessment, and enforcement response strategies.

• Generate reference compliance memoranda, regulatory filings, and documents related to enforcement responses.

• Write rubrics that differentiate authentic regulatory judgment from standard law school or bar exam recall.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a regulatory attorney or compliance counsel.

• Background at a major law firm, regulated company, or government agency.

• Direct responsibility for regulatory compliance programs, agency interactions, or enforcement matters.

• Proficiency in regulatory tools.

• Familiarity with the administrative process and agency rulemaking.

• In-depth knowledge of US regulatory frameworks, such as the Administrative Procedure Act and agency-specific statutes and regulations, along with international frameworks including EU regulations and directives and UK regulatory standards.

• A recognized professional credential is highly preferred, such as a JD with bar admission or an equivalent international qualification.

• Previous experience in authorship of rubrics, training materials, or compliance documentation is advantageous.

• Must be capable of functioning as an independent contractor.

• H1-B or STEM OPT candidates will not be supported.
