This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Formulate and implement regulatory strategies for testing, importation, and commercialization of products in Brazil.
• Oversee regulatory submissions and handle approval processes with Brazilian authorities, including MAPA.
• Develop and sustain project plans, timelines, and regulatory documentation.
• Analyze and submit agronomic data to support efficacy claims.
• Establish permissible variations in product chemistry and other labeling parameters.
• Specify necessary product composition and safety data.
• Ensure GHS hazard classification is updated with the appropriate agency.
• Independently lead projects to completion while effectively communicating status, risks, dependencies, and deadlines.
• Maintain current registrations and fulfill agency reporting obligations required for compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, consultants, and business partners to harmonize regulatory and commercial objectives.
• Convey regulatory priorities, milestones, agency interactions, and emerging risks.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and consultants.
• Monitor regulatory developments and evaluate their impact on existing and future registrations.
• Offer strategic insight for LATAM expansion and long-term regulatory planning.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or a related field.
• Proficiency in Portuguese and English.
• Spanish language skills are an advantage.
• Proven experience with Brazilian regulatory frameworks for biopesticides, bio-inputs, and fertilizers.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience engaging with regulators and managing external consultants.
• Capability to work autonomously in a remote or distributed work setting.
• Skill in identifying priorities, driving execution, and following through on commitments.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to regulatory compliance.
• Ability to maintain precise and thorough regulatory documentation.
• Strategic problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience overseeing multiple complex projects and timelines while adhering to deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
