Regulatory Affairs Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure the Company adheres to all relevant state and federal regulatory standards through independent research and assessment.

• Work alongside the EVP, Regulatory Counsel to create effective compliance strategies for business challenges.

• Partner with business stakeholders to devise solutions in the Loan Origination System (LOS), Encompass, aimed at tackling compliance issues.

• Create and uphold a Mavent Compliance Guide to aid in the loan origination process.

• Draft, review, and modify policies and procedures as new regulations or requirements emerge.

• Provide regular updates to the EVP, Regulatory Counsel on issues that need attention, along with actionable recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the banking industry.

• At least 1 year in a compliance-oriented role, with a preference for mortgage lending experience.

• Proficient understanding of consumer mortgage lending laws and regulations, including TILA/Reg Z, RESPA, ECOA, and HMDA.

• Familiarity with a loan operating system, preferably Encompass.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate through a dynamic regulatory landscape.

• Strong knowledge of the subject matter with an aptitude for identifying solutions.

• Exceptional communication, independent thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
