This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

šŸ“‹ Description

• Provide accurate and current information about products, services, and general procedures to consumers, clinical staff, and patients.

• Schedule follow-up appointments as well as other assigned meetings.

• Collect precise appointment, demographic, and insurance data to meet both clinical and financial requirements.

• Coordinate requests from physicians and consumers, fulfilling their needs in a single transaction.

• Address routine and complex customer inquiries, guiding them to suitable resources.

• Maintain regular communication with clinical personnel, medical secretaries, and product/service line teams.

• Create a welcoming first impression for patients and consumers.

• Utilize electronic medical records, scheduling and registration systems, ABN, eligibility, document management, and various other software applications.

• Assist with patient scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and communication regarding patient liability determination.


ā›³ļø Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• Proficient PC skills are necessary.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.

• At least 6 months of experience in customer service or a healthcare setting.

• Competence in using electronic medical records, scheduling and registration software, ABN, eligibility, and document management systems.

• Preferred qualifications include an Associate's Degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Patient Revenue role at OSUWMC.

• Preferred familiarity with Windows, Excel, and intranet/internet navigation tools.

• Experience with medical terminology, coding, and third-party reimbursement is preferred.

• Ability to operate across multiple systems for assigned duties, management, and reporting.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and presentation skills.

• High level of customer service proficiency.

• Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Preferred prior experience in patient scheduling.

• Attention to detail and multitasking skills are essential.

• Preferred experience with the EPIC system.

• Final candidates will be required to successfully complete a background check; a drug screen or physical may also be necessary during the post-offer process.
