This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +24 more states.
• Deliver quality-focused telephonic clinical assessments, health education, and utilization management services.
• Conduct triage assessments utilizing computer-based algorithms, protocols, and guidelines.
• Leverage clinical expertise to evaluate and manage callers, patients, and members.
• Provide care recommendations along with educational resources and health information.
• Identify patient care requirements, risk and safety concerns, educational needs, and suitable healthcare referrals.
• Handle calls in accordance with Quality Management standards.
• Adhere to product-specific performance metrics, nursing standards, company policies, and shared principles.
• Appropriately escalate issues in a timely manner.
• Foster rapport with members and positively influence their behavior.
• Participate in mandatory virtual training and complete intra-training assessments.
• Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
• Work four weekend shifts each month and undertake additional duties as required.
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in a compact state that is the candidate’s state of residence.
• Must reside in a compact state and uphold a compact multistate license.
• Current home-state RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of an associate degree from a two-year college or technical school, or a Diploma Nursing Program.
• BSN is preferred.
• Must maintain the required number of CEUs annually for all assigned licenses.
• Attend 100% of training hours and successfully complete intra-training testing components.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to apply clinical knowledge to fulfill clinical business standards.
• Proficient in product delivery and business requirements.
• Capability to operate multiple computer programs simultaneously.
• Skill in identifying improvement opportunities and proposing feasible solutions.
• Ability to exercise judgment within established practices and procedures.
• Competence in determining when to escalate issues.
• Strong listening, reflection, clarification, and communication skills.
• Effective time management capabilities.
• Must currently reside in and hold a multistate compact unrestricted RN license in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.
• Ability to obtain licensure in additional states as necessary.
• Home office must meet certification criteria.
• Availability for evening schedules, including at least two weekend days every two weeks.
• 100% attendance is required during training.
• Bilingual skills are advantageous.
• Experience in ER, adult and pediatric care, Medical/Surgical, Home Health, Hospice, or other acute care areas is preferred.
• Familiarity with telephone triage and a basic understanding of health benefit plans and the insurance industry is beneficial but not mandatory.
