Registered Nurse – Emergency Care, Theatre, ICU, Medical, Surgical, Renal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Performing and documenting thorough evaluations of patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial requirements upon admission and throughout the care process as needed for the specialty area.

• Creating personalized care plans based on patients' assessment information, treatment objectives, and preferences, working collaboratively with patients, their families, and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop comprehensive care strategies.

• Administering medications safely and accurately in accordance with physician directives and institutional guidelines, while monitoring patients for any adverse reactions or side effects and taking appropriate action when necessary.

• Assessing patients' advancement towards goals and adjusting care plans as required to enhance optimal outcomes.

• Collaborating and communicating efficiently with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless continuity of care.

• Conveying patient information, changes in condition, and care plans clearly and succinctly during handoffs and shift transitions, and making referrals when necessary.

• Demonstrating an understanding of patient safety and quality education, delivering services in line with the National Patient Safety and Quality Standards, Work Health & Safety Act, and Ministry of Health risk management frameworks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree or equivalent.

• Current AHPRA registration with NO restrictions or conditions.

• At least 2 years of experience in the specialty area.

• Ability to showcase a high level of clinical reasoning, critical thinking, and evidence-based practice.

• Recognized postgraduate qualification in the specialty area, such as ED, ICU, or Theatre.

• Evidence of prior service.

• National police certificate.

• A valid and up-to-date Ochre Card.

• Current vaccinations.
