This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Facilitate 30-minute, protocol-mandated telehealth nutrition and lifestyle counseling sessions with designated clinical trial participants every four weeks over the course of the 52-week study.
• Deliver personalized, evidence-driven nutrition counseling and lifestyle education in accordance with the clinical trial protocol and sponsor guidelines.
• Inform participants about healthy eating habits, physical activity, and sustainable lifestyle changes.
• Apply motivational interviewing and participant-focused communication methods to enhance participant engagement and adherence.
• Precisely document interactions with participants, counseling sessions, and necessary assessments in study records and electronic systems.
• Collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators, Principal Investigators, and the study team concerning participant progress, scheduling requirements, and protocol-related issues.
• Timely report any participant safety issues, adverse events, or potential deviations from the protocol.
• Complete all mandatory study-specific training and adhere to GCP, ICH guidelines, HIPAA, sponsor requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
• Ensure participant confidentiality while providing a professional, empathetic, and engaging telehealth experience.
• Manage a flexible remote schedule to guarantee the timely completion of assigned participant visits.
• Active Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential in good standing from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Current state licensure as a Registered/Licensed Dietitian, as mandated by the states where participants are located.
• Active Florida Dietitian/Nutritionist license.
• At least 2 years of experience providing nutrition counseling in clinical, outpatient, telehealth, or wellness environments.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based nutrition therapy and strategies for behavior change.
• Exceptional communication, motivational interviewing, and patient education abilities.
• Proficient in conducting participant visits via telehealth and documenting interactions electronically.
• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary clinical research team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a flexible schedule and complete documentation accurately and punctually.
• Reliable internet connection, laptop, and a private workspace suitable for telehealth consultations.
• Preferred experience in counseling patients dealing with obesity, weight management, metabolic health, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, or related conditions.
• Background in clinical research or familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is preferred.
• Preferred experience in lifestyle interventions, obesity, metabolic health, endocrinology, or cardiovascular programs.
• Preferred experience using electronic health records (EHR) and/or electronic data capture (EDC) systems.
• Current GCP certification or willingness to obtain it upon hire is preferred.
• PRN contract position.
