This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide virtual or telephonic support to a diverse patient roster (completely remote from home)
• Employ established tools and protocols to evaluate patient health status and identify potential health risks
• Record goals, behavioral and clinical outcomes, as well as administrative details of all interactions with registered dietitians via the portal
• Guide patients to beneficial resources and tools (such as referrals and health information) that are accessible to you
• Perform thorough nutrition assessments, taking into account medical history, lab results, medications, lifestyle choices, and cultural preferences
• Create personalized meal plans and nutrition interventions based on evidence-based guidelines
• Deliver diabetes self-management education and support (DSMES), which includes carbohydrate counting, insulin management, glucose monitoring, and problem-solving skills
• Produce and present content for customer requests, including webinars and speaking engagements
• Assist in the implementation of new products and technologies
• Ensure the collection and analysis of outcomes
• Emphasize whole-person care by collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain and enhance processes by adhering to standards, policies, and procedures, while suggesting innovative approaches
• Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• Licensed in your state of residence
• Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) credential from the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education
• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field
• Strong understanding of nutrition therapy for type 1, type 2, gestational diabetes, prediabetes, cardiovascular and metabolic health, as well as women’s health and nutrition throughout the lifecycle
• Exceptional communication, motivational interviewing, and behavior change counseling skills
• Passion for cultural curiosity and experience in engaging with individuals from a wide array of social, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Self-motivated
• Adaptable and eager to acquire new skills
• Capability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
• Proficient in basic computer skills, including Microsoft 365 and EHR systems
