This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a representative for a workforce board, economic development organization, utility consortium, association, or multi-employer collaboration.
• Assist in identifying regional hiring needs and training deficiencies within water occupations.
• Facilitate collaborative structures among multiple partners and establish shared metrics.
• Aid in the documentation of regional partnerships for joint proposals when consensus is reached.
• Provide advice on innovative recruitment and retention strategies that can be adapted across different regions.
• Engagement scope will be defined by specific projects.
• Support ongoing grant applications and sponsored research initiatives as needed.
• Travel to partner and field locations as necessary.
• Affiliation with a workforce board, regional partnership, utility association, public works network, or multi-employer organization.
• Proven experience in convening employers and training providers.
• Capability to communicate effectively within a defined geographic area and partner network.
• Willingness to engage in time-sensitive collaborations.
• Authorization to work with a U.S.-based research organization.
• Open to full-time employment or project-based contract opportunities; remote-first with travel as needed for partner and field work.
• Preferred: Existing partnership or talent action plan within the water sector.
• Preferred: Access to data regarding vacancies or retirements in the region.
• Preferred: Previous experience with federal workforce grant partnerships.
