• Identify, target, and engage national, regional, and mid-sized CPA firms (5+ CPAs) that align with the firm’s preferred client profile.
• Develop and implement focused outreach strategies aimed at CPA decision-makers, including Managing Partners, Tax Partners, and Advisory Leaders.
• Present and advocate for the firm’s referral program, highlighting client outcomes, revenue potential, and compliance integrity.
• Conduct discovery meetings to evaluate strategic alignment and the potential for long-term partnerships.
• Foster long-lasting, trusted relationships with the leadership of CPA firms and key partners.
• Act as the main point of contact between CPA firms and internal advisory and leadership teams.
• Support the onboarding and integration of new CPA partners into the referral ecosystem.
• Create joint business development initiatives and co-marketing opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership to enhance the structure, messaging, and incentives of the referral program.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including partner acquisition, referral flow, conversion rates, and revenue contributions.
• Identify trends in the accounting industry and adjust partnership strategies accordingly.
• Ensure that all referral agreements adhere to SEC and state regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships within financial services, RIA, asset management, CPA firms, or professional services.
• Proven track record in sourcing, closing, and expanding strategic partnerships.
• Strong comprehension of the RIA model and the wealth management sector.
• Experience in engaging with CPAs, accounting firms, or professional service organizations.
• FINRA licenses (Series 7/63/65/66) preferred or a willingness to obtain them if applicable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and Workday is preferred.
