This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Lead and integrate Regional Talent delivery into a nationally coherent Basketball Pathway that aligns with the GB Way, Player Development Framework, and the integration of 3x3.
• Drive the regional implementation of the national Basketball Pathway while developing strategic plans for the region.
• Organize and execute year-round Aspire Skills Camps, Super-Regional Camps, Talent Hubs, and events for 3x3 identification.
• Oversee regional staff management, scheduling, facilities, logistics, and budget administration.
• Establish a regional scouting network and maintain systems for athlete monitoring and reporting.
• Keep U14-Senior depth charts for both 5v5 and 3x3, conducting performance evaluations with key athletes and clubs.
• Ensure player welfare standards are upheld and facilitate access to necessary support services.
• Provide coach Continuing Professional Development (CPD) through on-court clinics, mentoring, observation, and remote learning initiatives.
• Support qualification pathways for Levels 2–4 and manage the 3x3vEvent Trainer program.
• Design and implement regional 3x3 identification and development activities.
• Lead targeted projects to address performance gaps, such as shooting efficiency and Basketball IQ (BBIQ).
• Represent Basketball England in working groups and meetings with BBF, UK Sport, Sport England, professional clubs, and universities.
• Coordinate regional alignment efforts across England, Scotland, and Wales.
• Submit monthly reports including dashboards on player progression, pathway impact, and budget tracking.
• Utilize performance data and video analysis to assess training effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, EDI, GDPR, and health and safety standards.
• Cultivate relationships with Talent Hubs, regional workforce, club coaches, and national team personnel.
• Conduct post-season reviews and contribute to future planning and innovative strategies.
• Proven track record in player and coach development within the performance basketball sector.
• Experience in leading teams across performance, education, and club environments.
• Familiarity with the structures of both 5v5 and 3x3 basketball.
• Understanding of the developmental needs of elite players.
• Exceptional planning and time management abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Competence in data analysis and the use of video analysis platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate in multi-agency settings.
• High level of self-motivation and initiative.
• Ability to self-organize and plan effectively amidst changing and competing priorities.
• Resilience and capability to work under pressure while exercising sound judgement.
• Ability to function effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible attitude with a willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Current, clear, enhanced DBS Check provided to Basketball England.
• Current Safeguarding Certificate provided to Basketball England.
• Willingness to participate in planning and coordination meetings.
• Capability to travel around sub-regions as needed.
• Full-time working schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
