This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary liaison for regional vendors, growers, and processing facilities.
• Conduct quality assessments of various seed types, including commercial, parent seed, and experimental lines, in both field and laboratory settings.
• Document and monitor seed line data throughout the production cycle.
• Input and manage seed inventory within GDM systems across different seed categories.
• Oversee stock levels and ensure inventory accuracy through routine checks and physical audits.
• Keep track of seed discards and assist in administrative tasks related to grain sales.
• Draft written agreements with growers and facilitate the assignment and monitoring of production activities.
• Assist with warehouse operations related to the distribution of test seed as necessary.
• Leverage GDM systems for inventory oversight, reporting, and operational coordination.
• Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee efficient production operations and timely information exchange.
• Aid in operational planning and adjust processes as required to achieve successful project outcomes.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Business, Agribusiness, or a related discipline is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be taken into account.
• Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in agribusiness, seed production, or a related sector is preferred.
• Basic understanding of seed production processes is advantageous.
• A valid driver’s license is required, meeting MVR standards.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of data management systems and operational tracking tools is beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight while also collaborating within a team environment.
• Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing operational requirements.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays when necessary.
