
Regional Sales Manager – Premium Beverage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Oversee all sales execution from the supplier's side, distributor management, inventory planning, account development, and market activation within the designated distributor territory.
• Create annual business plans for the territory and quarterly execution strategies.
• Act as the main supplier contact for the assigned wholesaler.
• Establish and nurture relationships with distributor leadership, sales teams, chain accounts, on-premise representatives, and key accounts.
• Facilitate weekly planning meetings and engage in quarterly business reviews.
• Promote on-premise placements, menu features, tap takeovers, beer dinners, staff training, sampling events, promotions, and product launches.
• Ensure effective off-premise retail execution, including resets, shelf and cold-box placements, displays, pricing, and point-of-sale materials.
• Oversee execution across authorized chain accounts, ensuring timely and accurate completion of launches, resets, promotions, and retail events.
• Track distributor inventory, forecast needs, manage allocations, and develop recovery plans.
• Perform market audits focusing on shelf standards, cooler presence, displays, pricing, freshness, draft quality, and point-of-sale placement.
• Collaborate with Marketing to coordinate product launches, festivals, samplings, promotions, community events, brewery appearances, and other activations.
• Utilize CRM, distributor reporting, and internal dashboards to track sales, distribution, inventory, account growth, SKU performance, placements, reorders, promotions, and pipeline health.
• Provide clear weekly territory updates to leadership.
• Work alongside Executive Leadership, Production, Warehouse and Fulfillment, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and Taproom Operations.
• Coordinate shared coverage in Chantilly/Northern Virginia with another Territory Business Manager.
• Influence, motivate, educate, and hold distributor partners accountable without direct supervisory authority.
• Over 4 years of sales experience in beverage-alcohol, preferably in beer.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Strong knowledge of the three-tier distribution system.
• Experience in both on-premise and off-premise channels.
• Familiarity with chain retail execution, resets, authorizations, displays, and promotional programming.
• Ability to analyze depletion, inventory, sales, and account-performance reports.
• Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, team-building, problem-solving, and partner-accountability skills.
• Capacity to motivate, educate, and coach others without direct supervisory authority.
• Strong time and territory management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
• Comfortable using CRM systems.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Prior supplier-side sales experience is preferred.
• Previous experience with craft beer and wholesaler management is desirable.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales and Marketing, Hospitality, Brewing, or a related field is desired.
• Experience managing large geographic territories and multiple distributor sales teams is preferred.
• Frequent travel within the assigned territory, approximately 60–70% of the time.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to drive, walk, stand, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, lift, and carry materials.
• Monthly vehicle stipend provided.
• Personal vehicle is eligible for the stipend.
• Home office and in-market work arrangement available.
