Regional Sales Manager – LATAM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• In the role of the Latin America (LATAM) Region Marketing & Sales Manager, you will be tasked with driving profitable growth to achieve or surpass designated targets while prioritizing customer satisfaction.

• You will be responsible for mentoring and developing a team of country marketing & sales leaders, ensuring the effective execution of cross-region initiatives, along with creating local strategies and initiatives.

• You will lead your team in obtaining and analyzing installed base data to identify pipeline opportunities, gain insights into market potential, and create resource plans.

• Your success will heavily rely on the support of your team and collaboration with other Electrification and ABB Businesses.

• A crucial aspect of your role will involve recruiting, nurturing, and providing opportunities for top-tier talent within your region.

• Achieve or exceed financial KPIs for the LATAM region.

• Develop, plan, and execute an annual commercial service sales strategy by effectively leveraging ServIS (the approved Service database) to protect and expand our installed base while targeting competitors’ clientele.

• Advocate for value-added service offerings that support the entire Life Cycle Management (LCM), ensuring the team promotes the complete service portfolio: Care, Modernization, and Advisory Services, while participating in risk reviews and major contract negotiations.

• Ensure target achievement by delivering valuable and innovative solutions to customers and initiating improvement plans when necessary, fostering long-term relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and decision-makers by understanding their needs and expectations.

• Demonstrate high expertise in technical solutions and products to facilitate customer risk mitigation and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Support the team by engaging in marketing and sales activities, providing insights on opportunities for campaign development, and collaborating with product management to better understand local market requirements for product and solution development, as well as resource alignment.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of competitor offerings and market trends.

• Regularly update customer opportunities and financial statuses. Notify relevant ABB stakeholders of any changes regarding risk.

• Drive overall commercial efficiency by remaining actively engaged with Service Operations and Product Management to communicate market needs and customer feedback.

• Lead the team in executing commercial plans while holding them accountable for delivering their commitments.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business studies, Engineering, or a related field is required.

• At least 10 years of experience in a similar role, with proven leadership experience in a Marketing & Sales function.

• Strong knowledge of market dynamics and trends in the LATAM region relevant to the services portfolio, along with a deep understanding of key customers and Electrification's installed base.

• Solid grasp of price management techniques and a proven track record of NPV achievements, with the ability to articulate and integrate marketing fundamentals (5Ps and 4Cs) into commercial strategies.

• Excellent interpersonal, change management, and leadership skills, with experience in remote work and managing teams from a distance.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders within a matrix organization.
