This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Establishing and overseeing quotas, commissions, and various sales management responsibilities for the sales team.
• Coaching, mentoring, and nurturing our junior sales personnel to support their professional development in achieving targets.
• Identifying new leads and opportunities through proactive outreach, referrals/introductions, industry events, and other channels, while addressing and responding to inbound inquiries.
• Achieving ambitious sales targets by managing the pipeline through to closure, which includes screening, qualifying, conducting on-farm demonstrations, and successfully negotiating contracts with clients.
• Collaborating with the Customer Success team to ensure a smooth post-sales transition, implementations, customer satisfaction, and account renewals.
• Offering support, insights, and communication to help cultivate and maintain trusted and lasting relationships with customers during the deployment wait.
• Capitalizing on opportunities and engaging in relevant industry/Halter events and demonstrations.
• Building and leveraging industry connections to establish and uphold Halter's brand reputation.
• Prioritizing customer needs and providing feedback to influence the product roadmap.
• Collaborating with the team to refine and enhance the sales process for increased speed, efficiency, and predictability as the company grows.
• A comprehensive end-to-end sales skill set with a minimum of five years of experience.
• Documented success and examples of effectively sourcing new prospects, securing meetings with new leads, and generating new sales opportunities.
• Extensive experience in value-based sales with a proven track record of closing deals and achieving high-volume sales results.
• Well-prepared with strong communication skills to effectively convey Halter's value proposition.
• Experience in dairy farming or the agricultural sector is highly desirable.
• A results-oriented individual who is highly motivated and possesses exceptional time management skills.
• Ability to adapt in a high-stakes sales environment and think on your feet.
• Sales experience in the technology sector is preferred.
• A university degree or equivalent is advantageous but not mandatory.
