This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Act as the main point of contact for customers.
• Deliver presentations, respond to RFQs, and engage with key technical personnel and decision-makers to facilitate sales.
• Provide advanced technical sales support and application insights to assist sales and business development managers.
• Comprehend business and application needs and how these convert into technical product specifications, offering appropriate sales responses to clients.
• Enable and propel recognized opportunities through G&H’s gate process to achieve successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with product management to pinpoint market demands, competitive pricing, lead times, and margin models for both existing and new products.
• Identify prospective customers for G&H and help develop formal sales strategies and proposals for assigned opportunities.
• Manage the technical communication and processes for customer pre/post-sales support issues and items.
• Effectively utilize G&H’s SalesForce CRM to monitor opportunities and supply unit and revenue forecasting data to product management and manufacturing.
• Conduct in-depth, high-level presentations and demonstrations for G&H at customer sites and conferences throughout Europe.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, Mathematics, or Engineering (Optics/Electronics).
• An MBA or Business Degree (or equivalent) is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated success in technical sales, product marketing, or applications experience within the photonics sector.
• Solid understanding of photonics, semiconductors, life sciences, aerospace, and laser applications/markets.
• Familiarity with areas such as lasers, optics, crystal optics, electro-optics, and acousto-optics, along with experience in industrial and/or biomedical laser applications, would be beneficial.
• Experience in project management, negotiation, and relationship management is preferred.
• Strong commercial insight and understanding of business decision-making processes.
• Excellent writing and language skills, capable of producing customer reports as needed and experienced in presenting technical data.
• Travel: anticipated travel to G&H facilities and customer locations (up to 30% of the time).
