This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Accountable for the planning, execution, and enhancement of sales and commercial strategies within a designated territory.
• Act as the strategic account manager for pre-selected large and intricate clients and suitable Sales Channels in the specified territory.
• Formulate and implement an annual sales strategy along with a sales action plan tailored for customers.
• Enhance AFL’s presence in the general test equipment market.
• Continually refine and adjust account strategies to align with AFL's business goals.
• Offer leadership, management, and assistance to established sales channels (agents, distributors, etc.).
• Provide strategic guidance in identifying new business development opportunities and distribution strategies aimed at achieving business objectives.
• Ensure that customer requirements are recognized and addressed, setting and measuring performance targets.
• Collaborate across functional areas to meet customer expectations.
• Facilitate coordination between company executives and customer management.
• Oversee and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to AFL EHS policies.
• The role encompasses territories such as Austria, Finland, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland.
• A minimum of 5 years of strategic sales experience in a business-to-business sales setting.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales processes.
• Familiarity with Broadband and Datacenter clients in the DACH Region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) and adjacent countries.
• Experience in selling to Telecom Operators and their associated contractors.
• Background in managing distributor and partner networks.
• Proficient in selling complex test and measurement equipment and systems.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Tools.
• Minimum B2 level in English.
• Minimum B2 level in German.
• Preferred: Knowledge of optical networking or telecommunications products/industry/technical expertise.
• Preferred: Experience working effectively in a matrix environment.
• Preferred: Background in a global work environment.
• Preferred: Experience with Fiber Optic Test Equipment.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Salesforce.com or other CRM systems.
