This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Achieve market access and sales targets for ophthalmology brands within assigned accounts and regions.
• Own, create, and implement localized business strategies that align with brand goals and sales objectives.
• Identify opportunities for each brand within individual accounts; develop and execute strategic account plans.
• Serve as the main contact for payer accounts and significant customer groups.
• Cultivate strong relationships with ophthalmology stakeholders to enhance formulary inclusion and product uptake.
• Provide patient-focused solutions that enhance ophthalmic care pathways.
• Analyze NHS ophthalmology data and business intelligence to pinpoint performance gaps.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of key accounts.
• Develop and nurture relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
• Share market insights and feedback internally to shape strategy and brand planning.
• Stay updated on NHS policies, funding mechanisms, and healthcare frameworks affecting ophthalmology prescribing and reimbursement.
• Ensure proper CRM usage for customer data management, call planning, and reporting.
• Adhere to the Code of Practice and company policies.
• Lead and execute essential account management initiatives.
• Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong understanding of NHS systems, funding mechanisms, and commissioning processes.
• Proven track record in sales performance, key account management, and payer engagement.
• Experience in influencing policy and practice within complex, multi-stakeholder settings.
• Strong analytical, planning, and negotiation skills, coupled with knowledge of pharmacoeconomics.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, including KOL development.
• Experience with product launches and working in matrix organizations.
• Proficient in IT and CRM systems.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and effective communication abilities.
• Commercially savvy and accountable, with a comprehensive understanding of the NHS, strategic leadership, and data-driven decision-making to optimize access and performance.
