This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota.
• Guide, mentor, and enhance the skills of Territory Managers through regular field engagement (~60% travel), continuous feedback, role-playing exercises, and practical sales training to ensure effective execution and professional growth.
• Take ownership of regional revenue outcomes by promoting consistent activity, facilitating both new sales and account growth, and ensuring Territory Managers achieve their input and output objectives.
• Uphold exceptional Salesforce practices and forecasting, conducting weekly pipeline reviews, ensuring data accuracy, and providing deal support for structure, escalations, and key opportunities.
• Act as the regional spokesperson, sharing customer insights, product feedback, and operational challenges with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Customer teams, and higher management.
• Transform national strategies into regional action plans, implement streamlined team processes (1:1s, check-ins), and closely coordinate with U.S. commercial leadership on performance and strategic priorities.
• Recruit and nurture top-performing talent, contributing to the expansion of Territory Manager teams as Halter rapidly scales across the U.S.
• Strong Frontline Sales Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing field sales representatives, particularly in high-growth or fast-paced settings, with a history of coaching reps to achieve consistent performance improvements.
• Hands-On, Field-First Mindset: Willingness to spend a significant amount of time traveling—participating in customer visits, demonstrating best practices, and maintaining a close connection to real-world customer challenges.
• Expertise in Sales Process & Methodology: In-depth knowledge of contemporary sales practices (e.g., consultative/challenger sales models, role-plays, discovery techniques) and the capability to coach Territory Managers in mastering these approaches.
• Pipeline, Salesforce, & Forecasting Discipline: Strong operational discipline regarding CRM hygiene, pipeline management, input metrics, and forecasting accuracy, particularly crucial in a hardware and software context.
