• The Regional Sales Director is a field-based leadership role responsible for fostering commitment and accountability within a core laboratory sales team to meet and surpass sales objectives, while increasing revenue across designated integrated delivery networks, hospital laboratories, regional reference labs, and physician office labs.
• The primary focus will be on driving overall revenue growth for Siemens central lab product lines, which include chemistry, immunoassay, coagulation, hematology, plasma protein, allergy, automation, and information technology.
• Responsible for the ongoing development of assigned sales teams, ensuring that all direct sales personnel are well-trained and proficient in customer management, product and solution positioning, as well as all relevant sales processes and tools.
• Assist in coaching the team on account strategy and take ownership of the commercial outcomes related to new instrument opportunities (increasing Reagent and Consumable Revenue, TCO, and instrument placements).
• Must demonstrate effective communication through email, Teams, and face-to-face interactions with customers, internal teams, and leadership.
• These teams include: Service, Technical Applications, Business Operations, Finance, Marketing, HR, and other departments.
• A proven history of success in leading a sales team (or individual sales team members) within Laboratory Diagnostics is essential, and the candidate must reside in the Region with experience and knowledge of the respective Integrated Delivery Networks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate cross-functionally.
• Inspirational leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others, with a strong focus on accountability and results, organizational agility, and the ability to quickly establish trust and rapport to build effective teams.
• Relevant business acumen, including fundamental competencies in financial management, market positioning, healthcare industry insights, and customer relations.
• Experience in training and development, emphasizing coaching and mentoring.
• Demonstrated success in a solution-selling environment and large account development, with over 7 years of experience in a complex sales landscape (Capital equipment, Medical Devices, etc.).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a direct sales team.
• Must exhibit a high level of strategic decision-making with an emphasis on impact and speed, along with critical thinking, advanced sales capabilities, problem-solving, and objection-handling skills.
