This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Lead a regional field sales and clinical team to accomplish sales and market penetration objectives for Abbott’s MCS Division.
• Supervise field sales and/or sales support personnel.
• Create and implement annual sales strategies to achieve business revenue targets.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain sales and clinical staff.
• Formulate regional strategic plans focused on revenue, profitability, and market penetration.
• Execute essential sales and service strategies and tactics.
• Identify approaches to enhance appropriate patient referrals and address challenges to Acute therapy adoption.
• Provide continuous coaching and feedback through field visits, observations, and performance measurement.
• Oversee regional training initiatives and market development strategies.
• Spearhead regional talent acquisition and development strategies.
• Establish and nurture relationships with customers, KOLs, and industry influencers.
• Maintain a strong understanding of heart failure technology and the competitive landscape.
• Manage and take ownership of the regional P&L in alignment with finance.
• Build and sustain relationships with Abbott and competing customers.
• Ensure compliance with quality policies and systems within the department.
• Contact, visit, and assist clients and prospective clients regarding company offerings.
• Research new and existing products while monitoring competitor sales, pricing, and products.
• Attend trade shows and conferences as necessary.
• Stay updated on developments in relevant fields of expertise.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of successful sales leadership experience, preferably in the medical device sector.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
• Proficient personal computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Capability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
• Ability to function effectively both as part of a team and as an individual contributor in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Skill in leveraging and/or engaging others to achieve project goals.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities across various organizational levels.
• Experience with direct quota achievement and performance metrics.
• Flexible schedule for case coverage and client meetings, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds; clear vision and good depth perception required.
• MBA and/or experience in multi-product/therapy sales management preferred.
• Over 6 years of medical device sales experience.
• Knowledge of Heart Failure field therapy areas.
• Proven market development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate successfully with cross-functional partners and clients.
• Skill in motivating and maintaining high performance within a clinical sales and therapy development organization.
• Proven track record of exceptional sales results over an extended period.
• Preference given to candidates who can think strategically and execute tactically.
