This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Develop and implement a strategic approach for New Zealand's local government territory.
• Generate and nurture a robust pipeline of fresh council and government opportunities.
• Establish trusted connections with council executives, planning and consenting leaders, building control teams, CIOs, technology leaders, regulatory services teams, procurement teams, and other governmental stakeholders.
• Identify councils and government agencies aiming to modernize their planning, resource consenting, building consenting, and development approval procedures.
• Oversee complex enterprise sales cycles from initial outreach and discovery through to demonstrations, business cases, procurement, and contract finalization.
• Manage tenders, RFQs, RFPs, public-sector procurement, and decision-making processes involving multiple stakeholders.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships throughout the New Zealand local government, planning, consenting, and GovTech sectors.
• Collaborate closely with Government Solutions, Customer, Product, Technology, and Marketing teams to convert opportunities into successful, long-lasting partnerships.
• Represent Archistar at local government, planning, technology, and industry events.
• Bring market intelligence and customer insights into the organization to enhance technology for New Zealand councils.
• Manage pipeline, forecasting, and revenue performance.
• Over 7 years of experience in enterprise SaaS or technology sales.
• Proven success in selling to New Zealand councils or the wider public sector.
• Established connections within the New Zealand local government or GovTech landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to create a pipeline and secure new government clients.
• Experience in leading complex enterprise sales involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and public-sector procurement processes.
• History of meeting or surpassing significant sales targets.
• Confidence in engaging with council chief executives, senior leaders, and teams in planning, consenting, regulatory, operational, and technical areas.
• Ability to translate complex technology into a straightforward and persuasive business case.
• Excellent commercial, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Experience in selling planning, resource consenting, building consenting, land management, GIS, regulatory technology, civic technology, or digital government solutions is highly valued.
• Must possess appropriate qualifications.
