This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive new business sales by establishing robust, consultative partnerships with distributors of worksite and voluntary benefits.
• Stay current and knowledgeable about health care trends, market intelligence, and voluntary benefit product offerings.
• Create, update, and manage target account lists along with pipeline management.
• Adhere to a detailed sales process incorporating marketing programs, educational seminars, customer needs analysis meetings, and presentations.
• Cultivate new accounts while expanding existing ones.
• Oversee both external and internal stakeholders throughout the sales cycle.
• Contribute to strategic sales planning, forecasting, and product development initiatives.
• Meet assigned annual targets for new business sales, net growth, and reenrollment goals.
• Clearly demonstrate the value proposition to distribution partners.
• Lead and manage the acquisition process, acting as a liaison between producers and clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with Sales Implementation, Key Account Managers, Case Underwriting, and Marketing teams.
• Generate new business through existing connections, prospecting new relationships, conducting market analysis, and cold calling channel distributors.
• Collaborate with marketing and product development to inform the network channel and stimulate market demand.
• Identify sales opportunities, influence RFP designs, and devise solutions to secure new business.
• Monitor and report competitive activities.
• Utilize Salesforce.com for activity tracking, forecasting, business requests, workflow management, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
• Provide monthly pipeline, forecast, and metrics reports utilizing Salesforce automation tools.
• Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
• Minimum of 5 years in Voluntary product sales or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven consultative sales experience is essential.
• Experience in generating and analyzing reports to enhance sales performance or customer experiences.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, make sound decisions in line with divisional objectives in a timely manner, and manage conflicts with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to handle multiple tasks at once.
• Strong commitment to follow through and complete tasks in a timely and professional manner.
• Ability to build and maintain mutually respectful relationships with managers, colleagues, support staff, agents/brokers, and clients.
• Proficient in managing conflicts, resolving complex issues, negotiating, achieving consensus, and fostering team spirit.
• Proficient in the complete MS Office Suite.
