Regional Safety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for aiding management in the overall business operations of the company by overseeing and directing the Safety Program for assigned area(s).

• Ensure all employees receive training on the Safety Program and serve as a resource for safety-related matters.

• Safeguard the Company’s interests while assisting employees in completing quality projects safely.

• Foster and enhance client relationships and improve the company’s image.

• Advocate for and promote Alston Construction’s robust safety culture, both internally and externally.

• Plan, develop, and implement safety policies and procedures that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Monitor, manage, and conduct safety orientations and training for new hires according to Alston Construction’s safety training matrix.

• Oversee OSHA site visits and inspections.

• Investigate all incidents and communicate findings to the Director of Safety and Executive Vice President.

• Assist in managing the company’s fleet vehicle program.

• Gather feedback from personnel regarding concerns, issues, or areas for improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction safety management with a general contractor.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be taken into account.

• Valid state-issued driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and vehicle insurance that meets Alston Construction's liability coverage requirements.

• OSHA 30-hour Certification.

• OSHA 500 certification preferred.

• First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.

• Safety training/certifications in areas such as Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Excavation and Trenching, HAZCOM, etc.

• CSP, CHST, or other safety certifications preferred.
