This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Implement and enhance Stord's HSS program throughout designated fulfillment and warehouse facilities.
• Convert enterprise standards into uniform execution at the site level across regional facilities.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and manage site-level safety and loss prevention professionals.
• Take ownership of regional safety, compliance, and loss prevention performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Develop and oversee strategies for loss prevention, shrink reduction, investigations, security measures, and accountability of carriers/vendors.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, state, local regulations, and Stord's internal standards across the region.
• Act as the regional authority for handling incidents, investigations, and regulatory inquiries.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks that could lead to financial losses, operational disruptions, or harm to individuals and assets.
• Conduct or supervise safety audits, gap assessments, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and track corrective actions.
• Assist site leaders and operations teams in integrating safety into everyday standard practices.
• Supervise investigations related to theft, fraud, and inventory discrepancies, and escalate when necessary.
• Manage standards related to CCTV, access control, and physical security.
• Collaborate with carriers, vendors, law enforcement, Operations, Finance, and Ops Excellence teams.
• Ensure compliance with Hazmat regulations and support customer-required certifications like GMP, GDP, CTPAT, or TAPA.
• Manage regional KPIs and provide performance reports to the Head of HSS and regional operations leadership.
• Lead HSS preparation for new site launches, automation, equipment commissioning, and network expansion.
• Over 7 years of experience in health and safety, loss prevention, or operational compliance.
• More than 3 years of direct experience in people management.
• Experience across multiple sites in 3PL, eCommerce fulfillment, distribution, or manufacturing settings.
• Background in loss prevention investigations, shrink management, or asset protection within a high-volume logistics or retail context.
• Proficient understanding of OSHA standards, state-specific safety regulations, and compliance program management.
• Practical experience in managing CCTV, access control, and inventory protection protocols.
• Familiarity with incident investigation techniques and corrective action systems.
• Comfortable with Hazmat regulations and handling controlled substances in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
• Experience leveraging safety and loss prevention data to inform operational decision-making.
• Must reside in Atlanta or Charlotte, North Carolina.
• Willingness to travel 40-50% of the time.
• ASP, CSP, or a similar safety certification is preferred or should be actively pursued.
• Wicklander-Zulawski (WZ), Reid Technique, or equivalent interviewing certification is preferred.
• A background in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement is advantageous.
• Familiarity with CTPAT, TAPA, or SOC-related security requirements is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to analyze metrics and convert them into actionable strategies.
• Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and escalate issues appropriately.
