Regional Projects Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead a portfolio of regional CAPEX and engineering initiatives at various manufacturing locations in the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.

• Supervise capital projects that range from site enhancements to extensive investments.

• Ensure that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality and scope expectations.

• Manage project risks, resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Guide, mentor, and develop a team of Project Managers along with external contractors.

• Provide direction, support, and governance to ensure consistent project execution.

• Encourage collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Operations, OPEX, Global CAPEX, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Site Leadership teams.

• Assist in the development of business cases and investment proposals.

• Align business priorities with project execution across various countries and sites.

• Influence senior stakeholders and facilitate decision-making within a complex matrix organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive experience in managing CAPEX projects in manufacturing, industrial, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments.

• Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects and capital investments.

• Prior experience in people management, including the coaching and development of Project Managers.

• Strong knowledge of project governance, budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and contractor oversight.

• Experience working with multiple countries and stakeholders across Europe.

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical project execution.

• Exceptional communication and influencing capabilities.

• Proficiency in English.

• Project Management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) is preferred.

• Familiarity with Front-End Loading (FEL) methodologies is preferred.

• Understanding of European industrial regulations and standards is preferred.

• Eligibility to work within the European Union is preferred.
