This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Collaborate within the Medical Affairs division to identify, cultivate, and oversee partnerships with community-based scientific leaders (SLs) and healthcare providers.
• Engage in scientific discussions at a peer level and maintain a consistent presence to ensure SLs have a dedicated Medical Affairs contact within our organization.
• Actively participate in non-product discussions regarding scientific matters to comprehend real-world prevention gaps, ongoing disparities, and obstacles to implementation across various care settings.
• Facilitate the appropriate exchange of scientific information with SLs, merging scientific knowledge with actionable insights to guide our Company's research, development, and strategies.
• Relay external stakeholder perspectives, insights, and feedback on new data, clinical trends, and the evolving landscape of HIV treatment and prevention to Medical Affairs HQ teams.
• Represent Research & Development at scientific meetings and congresses to gauge consumer sentiment and contribute to R&D debriefs, insight discussions, and post-congress reports.
• Craft and implement territory plans that align with the global Virology strategy.
• Assist in data generation activities as requested by R&D leadership, including participation in our company's Investigator Study Program (MISP).
• Identify potential investigators for involvement in phase II-IV clinical development programs and provide scientific support for R&D-sponsored trials as required.
• Exhibit and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the assigned disease and therapeutic area(s) through educational initiatives.
• Adhere fully to all company policies and applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
• A doctoral degree or advanced practice professional qualification (PhD, PharmD, NP/PA, etc.) pertinent to Virology and the position's requirements.
• At least 3 years of previous experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical and/or research experience in Virology/HIV or a related therapeutic area.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including overnight stays, and reside within the designated coverage region.
• Strong therapeutic knowledge; up-to-date with trends and new developments in Virology.
• Capability to network and collaborate with key external scientific leaders and healthcare providers.
• Proficient in consolidating and understanding complex data sets, planning and/or executing data analyses, summarizing or synthesizing data, and objectively interpreting results.
• Familiarity with national and society treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG, HIPAA, and other ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
• Must be adept at organizing, prioritizing, and working effectively in a dynamic environment.
