This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ Provide strategic and operational leadership for the execution of performance-based medical management.
β’ Oversee budget management and risk factors.
β’ Analyze and present business performance data to clients, senior executives, and the Board of Directors.
β’ Collaborate in managing all clinical divisions within the region.
β’ Engage in the assessment of local profit and loss performance.
β’ Work efficiently and collaboratively with the non-clinical departments within the organization.
β’ Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with providers.
β’ Uphold a customer-focused dedication to excellence and a commitment to innovative ideas that enhance the healthcare of the patient population.
β’ Make and implement timely, high-quality decisions.
β’ Recruit, develop, and reward staff to effectively align with the company's strategy.
β’ Additionally, be responsible for all clinical duties performed by Extensivists, including but not limited to: seeing patients in hospitals and at home as needed, attending to patients in the Care Center as applicable, ensuring follow-up for all high-risk patients discharged from the hospital until they are stabilized, and overseeing 'skilled' patients in SNFs on a weekly basis until they are no longer classified as skilled, typically within 1 to 2 weeks. Across all care settings, establish a comprehensive and coordinated care plan that incorporates information from medical records, the patient and their families, primary care physicians, and specialists as necessary.
β’ 5+ years of experience in Hospitalist, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 1+ years of administrative experience is preferred.
β’ At least 1+ years of experience in managed care is preferred.
β’ NPI is mandatory upon starting.
β’ Medical Doctorate (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) is required.
β’ Completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency program in the United States.
β’ Board Certification is required.
β’ A valid Medical License in the state of application; DEA license; must be board certified or board eligible in the specialty.
β’ Clinical confidence along with a friendly bedside manner.
