Regional Manager – Water and Wastewater O&M

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Manage all facets of operations, maintenance, billing, and customer service for several facilities.

• Create and oversee annual operating and capital budgets; track regional financial performance and execute cost-control measures.

• Set and monitor KPIs to ensure regional performance aligns with company objectives; spearhead initiatives for growth and risk management.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and secure renewals as well as scope expansions.

• Ensure compliance with SOPs, DOT, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.

• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management; provide coaching and mentoring to staff for ongoing improvement.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high satisfaction levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.

• 7–10 years of progressive experience in water/wastewater operations.

• At least 5 years in a supervisory or management capacity overseeing multiple facilities.

• Valid Driver’s License.

• High-level state water or wastewater certification (or the ability to obtain it based on the facilities managed).

• Comprehensive knowledge of water/wastewater systems, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.
