This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Implement the national sales strategy within the region to meet or surpass the business plan.
• Create and execute regional sales plans, forecasts, and budgets that align with achieving or exceeding the business plan.
• Recognize growth opportunities by analyzing market segments, product lines, and key customer accounts.
• Promote disciplined pipeline management and precise sales forecasting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Territory Managers to enhance performance.
• Establish clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance evaluations, and implement development strategies.
• Ensure the consistent application of sales processes, effective CRM usage, and value-based selling techniques.
• Cultivate a high-performance, accountable, and customer-centric sales culture.
• Oversee and optimize relationships with authorized distributors throughout the region.
• Facilitate joint business planning, performance assessments, and corrective action strategies with distributors.
• Ensure adherence to distribution agreements, pricing policies, and brand standards.
• Identify, assess, and suggest new distribution partners as necessary.
• Personally manage strategic and high-impact regional accounts as needed.
• Assist sales team efforts in complex negotiations, significant bids, and long-term supply contracts.
• Build strong relationships with key OEMs, end users, and channel partners across various organizational levels.
• Serve as the escalation point for customer issues and ensure timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Operations, and Customer Service to fulfill customer requirements.
• Provide market intelligence regarding competitive activities, pricing trends, and customer needs.
• Support the introduction of new products, pricing initiatives, and promotional programs within the region.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
• 7–10+ years of progressive sales experience, ideally in bearings, power transmission, manufacturing, or technical products.
• Previous experience managing a multi-state sales region and leading a sales team.
• Strong expertise in distributor/channel sales management.
• Proven success in achieving revenue growth and margin goals.
• Experience using CRM systems and data-driven sales management.
