This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +8 more states.
• Expand the designated territory by introducing the products to new districts with student populations exceeding 5,000.
• Develop and sustain a network of contacts to discover new sales opportunities.
• Engage with prospective customers and leads to ascertain their needs for products or services; recommend appropriate solutions to fulfill those requirements.
• Showcase the features and benefits of products or services to clients based on their specific needs.
• Adopt a challenger sales approach in all interactions with customers.
• Use the CRM system (Salesforce) to keep comprehensive records of your sales activities, including calls, meetings, and sales outcomes.
• Provide regular updates on the territory's sales pipeline and revenue forecasts.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Must live in the Northeast region of the United States.
• Proven experience in selling complex solutions to large educational institutions.
• A strong desire to pursue new opportunities and a hunter mentality.
• Familiarity with trends and challenges in educational technology.
• Experience with consultative selling and solution-oriented sales techniques.
• A demonstrated history of success in a sales position within the education technology sector.
• An understanding of and eagerness to work in a start-up environment with a proactive approach.
• Deep knowledge of the K-12 market.
• Experience as a buyer or successful sales interactions with K-12 school district leadership.
• Knowledgeable about literacy beyond educational technology (e.g., fluent in the science of reading).
• Strong executive presence and gravitas.
• Maintain a consultative sales strategy that fosters partnerships with districts to assist educators and students in achieving success through an Amira implementation.
• Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
• Proficiency in CRM software and various sales methodologies.
• Skilled in using multiple software platforms and devices, with an understanding of their application in classroom and school environments.
• An early adopter and enthusiast of AI tools.
• Build and maintain relationships with peers by exchanging best practices and collaborating across functions to enhance territory and company performance while fostering a positive work environment.
• Actively seek to understand and learn from diverse voices, experiences, values, and cultures both within and outside the organization.
