This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement the vision and strategy effectively.
• Oversee the application of all relevant EHS policies and programs at project locations.
• Guide and mentor site safety professionals to enhance their capabilities and effectiveness.
• Regularly meet or surpass customer expectations concerning safety performance.
• Foster and promote a culture of safety excellence throughout all business units.
• Execute the rollout of new and updated EHS policies and programs.
• Offer on-call EHS support and advice to the business as required.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in designated EHS areas.
• Conduct reviews and updates of Work Instructions related to EHS.
• Carry out risk assessments, reviews, and updates as necessary.
• Perform site audits and evaluations to ensure compliance and pinpoint opportunities for improvement.
• Execute event analyses (investigations) for incidents of high severity or potential severity, including injuries, illnesses, property damage, spills, and near misses.
• Assist SSPs in carrying out event analyses.
• Support SSPs, Site Managers, and Project Managers in staffing site personnel.
• Oversee, train, and assess the performance of assigned company and contractor SSP personnel.
• Provide coaching and develop improvement plans for assigned company and contractor personnel.
• Carry out designated EHS software application tasks within authorized permission levels (e.g., EHS Insights).
• Offer support for EHS software applications to Takkion and contractor personnel.
• Participate in and contribute to required recurring and ad-hoc EHS meetings and conferences.
• Engage in Operations and non-EHS meetings and conferences as necessary.
• Represent EHS at project kick-off meetings and initiatives for assigned projects.
• Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in the construction, transportation, or renewable energy sectors.
• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory standards.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
• Experience in leading, training, and mentoring safety professionals.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in EHS software systems (e.g., EHS Insights).
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
