• Implement the vision and strategy effectively.
• Oversee the execution of relevant EHS policies and programs at project locations.
• Guide and mentor site safety professionals to enhance their skills and efficiency.
• Consistently fulfill or surpass customer expectations regarding safety performance.
• Advocate for and promote excellence in safety culture throughout all business units.
• Execute the rollout of new and updated EHS policies and programs.
• Provide on-demand EHS support and guidance to the organization as required.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for designated EHS disciplines.
• Conduct reviews and revisions of Work Instruction EHS documentation.
• Perform risk assessments, reviews, and necessary updates.
• Carry out site audits and reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Analyze events related to high-severity or high-potential-severity incidents, including injuries, illnesses, property damage, spills, and near misses.
• Assist Site Safety Professionals (SSPs) in conducting event analyses.
• Support SSPs, Site Managers, and Project Managers by staffing site personnel appropriately.
• Oversee, train, and assess the performance of assigned company and contractor SSP personnel.
• Provide coaching and develop improvement plans for assigned company and contractor staff.
• Execute designated tasks within EHS software applications, adhering to established permission levels (e.g., EHS Insights).
• Offer EHS software application support to designated Takkion and contractor personnel.
• Attend and actively participate in mandatory recurring and spontaneous EHS meetings and conferences.
• Engage in Operations and non-EHS meetings and conferences as necessary.
• Represent EHS at project kick-off meetings and improvement initiatives for assigned projects.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of EHS experience, preferably in construction, transportation, or renewable energy sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory standards.
• Proven capability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
• Experience in leading, training, and mentoring safety professionals.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership abilities.
• Proficient in EHS software systems (e.g., EHS Insights).
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
