This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Represent Gilead's oncology products and services to a specified customer base across Greater Los Angeles, extending to San Diego.

• Generate and enhance sales while consistently meeting or surpassing regional sales objectives.

• Lead the region and establish a benchmark of excellence within the organization.

• Foster and sustain relationships with executives, decision influencers, and decision-makers at medical centers, clinics, and other accounts.

• Monitor and reinforce sales-force effectiveness metrics, strategy compliance, tactical execution, program planning, fund utilization, and target reach and frequency.

• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with National Accounts, Marketing, Medical Scientists, and other internal teams.

• Analyze, comprehend, and present scientific and technical information along with pharmaceutical marketing and sales requirements.

• Share insights on product and disease-state developments as well as product protocol considerations.

• Guide and mentor Specialists to enhance their selling skills, product and disease-state knowledge, customer focus, time management, and resource allocation.

• Recruit, hire, and oversee a team of Specialists.

• Develop learning plans, recommend training and development solutions, and offer mentoring and coaching.

• Act as a communication bridge between the home office and region, identifying and resolving issues, opportunities, and competitive activities.

• Define roles, responsibilities, and measurable outcomes; track success and provide performance feedback.

• Represent the company at professional events and advocate for company products.

• Analyze industry trends, competitor resources, and practices.

• Lead cross-functional projects with a significant organizational impact.

• Communicate business direction and vision to the region.

• Provide guidance on human resource management issues and complex people-management matters.

• Manage large projects and collaborate within cross-functional teams.

• Represent Gilead's products through in-person and face-to-face engagements with healthcare practitioners.

• Ensure department personnel adhere to commercial compliance policies and applicable laws and guidelines.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma along with sixteen years of experience OR Associate's Degree with fourteen years of experience OR Bachelor's Degree with twelve years of experience OR Master's Degree with ten years of experience OR Ph.D. with eight years of experience.

• Preferred: 12 years of pertinent commercial experience in marketing, sales, or a related commercial function.

• Preferred: 8 years of progressive oncology experience.

• Preferred: 4 years of oncology leadership as a District Manager, including product launches.

• Exceptional leadership abilities, including vision setting, change management, and coaching and mentoring others.

• Capability to formulate, develop, and execute strategies and manage teams with varying product prioritization.

• Proven excellence in project management and handling multiple priorities.

• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, conflict-resolution, consensus-building, influencing, and negotiation skills.

• Executive presence and sound business judgment.

• Willingness to engage in necessary travel, including regular travel within the assigned area.

• Ability to meet onsite visitation requirements of healthcare practitioners, which may include vaccinations, drug and background screenings, and other prerequisites.

• Ability to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.

• Valid driver's license is required.

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing and sales regulations, guidelines, and policies.

• Understanding of the medical field and pharmaceutical industry.

• Experience in managing successful product launches and/or product turnarounds.

• Ability to manage large projects and work collaboratively across functions.
