Regional Director of Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee various branches and business units across a multi-state area.

• Drive financial performance metrics, including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, productivity, and working capital.

• Collaborate with local leaders to enhance operations, sales, customer service, and organic growth.

• Mentor and develop Division Presidents, General Managers, and operational leaders.

• Identify and assist in revitalizing underperforming branches and business units.

• Establish significant KPIs, operational disciplines, and accountability measures.

• Support acquisition due diligence and ensure smooth post-acquisition integration.

• Aid newly acquired businesses in adopting Guardian's systems, processes, technology, and best operating practices.

• Maintain the strengths, customer relationships, and entrepreneurial spirit of local businesses while facilitating their growth.

• Promote a culture centered on safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Report directly to the COO.

• Travel up to 50% within the designated region.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site operations.

• Extensive experience in managing and enhancing P&L performance.

• Proven track record of successfully leading General Managers, Branch Managers, or business-unit leaders.

• Background in field services, specialty contracting, fire/life safety, mechanical, electrical, industrial services, equipment services, or a related field.

• Demonstrated capability in business growth and enhancing underperforming operations.

• Strong leadership, financial acumen, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions and operational/system integration is highly preferred.

• Preferred background in fire protection/life safety.

• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
