This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
β’ Perform clinical nutrition evaluations and provide care recommendations for patients/residents in long-term care settings.
β’ Liaise with physicians, staff, residents, families, consultants, and corporate personnel regarding dietary services.
β’ Collaborate with facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
β’ Offer expert advice on professional nutrition and dietary standards in accordance with state and federal regulations.
β’ Guarantee timely and accurate documentation within the facility.
β’ Deliver medical nutrition therapy for new admissions and residents identified as being at nutritional risk.
β’ Guide dietary managers through in-service training sessions for both dietary and nursing staff.
β’ Ensure that administrators and corporate staff receive consultant reports summarizing consultation activities.
β’ Suggest kitchen and food service equipment requirements for the centers.
β’ Engage in ongoing education within the nutrition field.
β’ Utilize discretion and sound judgment in interactions with staff, residents, family members, and colleagues.
β’ Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
β’ Must possess a current Registered Dietitian license in the state where the facility is located.
β’ Must be recognized as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
β’ Must hold an active license in Georgia, South Carolina, or North Carolina.
β’ Familiarity with nutritional standards and their practical application.
β’ Understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including long-term care sanitation and safety codes.
β’ Capability to assess and oversee dietary service operations.
β’ Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
β’ Leadership abilities to guide and support consultants effectively.
β’ Ability to make prompt, rational decisions that benefit residents, staff, and facilities.
β’ Limited travel may be required.
