This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee all regional SOAR Awareness, Outreach, and Engagement initiatives.
• Promote the SOAR initiative within the community and among partner sites.
• Identify and engage potential collaborators.
• Organize and participate in community events.
• Plan and prepare materials for speaking engagements of investigators.
• Support recruitment efforts, including updates to the website, social media, and advertisements.
• Collaborate with community regional engagement liaisons, partner sites, students, and volunteers.
• Act as a representative for the SOAR Initiative within the designated regional community.
• Lead organizational and community conversations regarding the project.
• Assist research personnel in involving community stakeholders and members in discussions about the project and its execution.
• Travel a minimum of 75% within the state and be available to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in an organization that undertakes community-based projects is required.
• Experience in creating and executing marketing, outreach, recruitment, or promotional strategies aimed at engaging diverse community members and stakeholders is preferred.
• A Master’s degree in a field pertinent to social science research is preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and outreach capabilities.
• Proven experience collaborating effectively with local community partners to engage community members and stakeholders.
• Understanding of local culture is essential.
• A valid Ohio Driver’s license is necessary.
• Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel statewide are required.
• Availability to work evenings and weekends is necessary.
• A minimum of 75% in-state travel is required.
• Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
• A pre-employment physical, including a drug screening, may be required.
