Regional Business Development Manager – Field Based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• - **Regional Ownership:** Assume complete responsibility for a significant bicycle region within your area, overseeing all business relationships from start to finish.

• - **Hunt, Close and Onboard New Retail Partners:** Identify, prospect, and onboard independent bike shops and regional chains in your territory. Your objective is to convert cold prospects into active partners who utilize Upway’s trade-in tool on a daily basis.

• - **Stock Purchasing:** Identify and acquire surplus stock from partners to enhance our product range.

• - **Build Long-Term Trust:** The bicycle industry thrives on relationships. You must be a dependable stakeholder, equally adept at discussing technical specifications with a mechanic as you are at negotiating contracts with business owners.

• - **Negotiations:** Achieve the most advantageous purchasing conditions for Upway through effective and strategic negotiations.

• - **Deploy Additional Services:** Utilize your network of established trusted partners to assist in launching new services as we evolve the trade-in platform into a comprehensive B2B ecosystem (including pickup, drop-off, maintenance, B2B sales…).


⛳️ Requirements

• - **Experience:** 2-5 years in B2B Sales, Business Development, or Purchasing. While experience in the cycling industry is a plus, we prioritize "Sales DNA" (FMCG, SaaS, Field Sales) above all.

• - **Hunter Mindset:** You are proactive in seeking opportunities. You thrive on the excitement of closing new deals and are not easily deterred by rejection.

• - **Road Warrior:** You are invigorated by fieldwork. You are willing to travel 80% of the time within your region to enhance partner relationships.

• - **Analytical Hustle:** You leverage data to prioritize your targets and streamline your routes.

• - **Negotiation:** A proven history of achieving favorable terms through robust negotiation skills.

• - **A genuine passion for life on two wheels:** Our partners are true enthusiasts, and so are we. Your genuine enthusiasm for bicycles will be crucial in fostering conversations, building trust, and establishing your relevance in the industry.

• - **Languages:** Native proficiency in German and professional fluency in English (for internal reporting).
