This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Propel revenue growth within the designated territory through customer retention, expansion, and targeted acquisition of new clients.
• Manage commercial relationships encompassing contracts, renewals, and discussions regarding expansion.
• Direct account strategy and ensure clients effectively recognize and showcase ROI from Taranis.
• Act as the main, reliable point of contact for clients in the assigned territory.
• Enhance and deepen relationships with existing accounts through increased adoption, expansion, renewals, and engagement.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the regional market.
• Facilitate contract negotiations, renewals, pricing discussions, and commercial agreements.
• Spot opportunities for heightened engagement and expansion of Taranis’ presence within accounts.
• Create and implement annual, quarterly, and weekly sales plans that align with regional objectives.
• Precisely monitor activities, pipeline, and forecasts using Salesforce.
• Maintain a high-touch, in-field presence with clients throughout the season.
• Establish pre-season expectations and follow up during the growing season.
• Assist clients in operationalizing Taranis within their business workflows.
• Aid clients in demonstrating clear ROI to growers and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct both in-person and virtual training sessions, webinars, and presentations on the Taranis platform.
• Address customer challenges and issues proactively and efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Success on onboarding, adoption, engagement, proof of value, and renewal readiness.
• Partner with Product Marketing on customer insights, field feedback, feature launches, and go-to-market strategies.
• Coordinate with Operations / Flight Operations to ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations and commercial commitments.
• Work cross-functionally to guarantee smooth execution and a positive customer experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in agricultural input sales with a demonstrated history of success.
• Intermediate agronomic knowledge related to corn and soybean production systems.
• Proven experience in managing complex, consultative sales cycles.
• Clear comprehension of sales targets, forecasting, and budget management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to present strategies to key stakeholders.
• Results-driven with robust follow-up, ownership, and accountability skills.
• Willingness and capability to travel frequently within the territory.
• At least 2 years of experience in Precision Agriculture or AgTech sales (preferred).
• Intermediate understanding of precision agriculture, imagery, or digital agronomic tools (preferred).
• Established connections within the agricultural industry (preferred).
• Existing network within ag-retail channels (preferred).
• Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Suite, Zoom (preferred but not mandatory), and openness to other new sales enablement tools.
