This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of property subrogation claims from initiation to resolution.

• Assess claim files to determine liability, damages, recovery potential, and suitable recovery strategies.

• Investigate property losses and collect information necessary to support recovery efforts.

• Examine claim documentation, which includes reports, estimates, invoices, contracts, photographs, and other relevant materials.

• Formulate and execute recovery strategies aimed at maximizing recoveries for clients.

• Prepare demand packages and other documentation related to recovery.

• Seek recovery opportunities through negotiation, arbitration, mediation, or providing litigation support when appropriate.

• Negotiate settlements with insurers, attorneys, contractors, and other liable parties.

• Work collaboratively with legal counsel, subject matter experts, and internal stakeholders as required.

• Maintain precise claim files and documentation.

• Achieve productivity, quality, and recovery goals.

• Offer guidance and assistance to junior team members when needed.

• Contribute to special projects, process enhancements, and departmental initiatives.

• Deliver exceptional service to clients and business partners.

• Carry out other assigned duties.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in property claims, property subrogation, recoveries, or a related insurance domain.

• Preferred educational background includes an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent industry experience.

• Understanding of property claims, liability analysis, coverage issues, and subrogation principles.

• Experience in managing commercial and residential property losses, large-loss claims, or complex recoveries is preferred.

• Familiarity with arbitration, mediation, litigation, or other recovery methods is an advantage.

• Strong analytical, investigative, negotiation, and communication abilities.

• Competence in reviewing and interpreting claim files, reports, estimates, contracts, and other supporting documents.

• Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

• Sound judgment and robust problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management systems.

• Experience with IVOS or similar subrogation software is preferred.

• Industry certifications such as AIC, CPCU, ARM, or SCLA are advantageous.
