Ready Force Technician I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Meter Maintenance: Conduct visual inspections of water or electric meters to check for leaks or damage.

• Identify hazards at meter locations and report them as needed.

• Skillfully replace water or electric meters of various sizes and brands.

• Effectively change out meter registers for AMI/AMR upgrades.

• Meter Reading: Accurately read electric, gas, or water meters.

• Input data collected in the field into a handheld computer.

• Surveying Meters and Gas Lines: Locate underground utilities and mark them appropriately.

• Inspect gas meters and associated piping for adequate coatings and signs of atmospheric corrosion.

• Perform visual checks of gas meters, lines, and fittings.

• Evaluate gas leaks based on severity and report escalations as necessary.

• Identify hazards at meter locations and report them accordingly.

• Clean and re-coat/paint meters and piping.

• Customer & Team Communication: Direct all consumer complaints to the relevant authorities.

• Provide general information regarding meter services to customers when appropriate.

• Utilize telephones, tablets, and/or computers for communication.

• Participate in company-sponsored safety meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

• Upon hiring, the candidate may be required to complete and successfully pass all Pipeline Operator Qualification (OQ) training.

• Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience in any of the following areas: Electric, gas, or water meter maintenance, installation, or reading.

• Experience in gas line detection/surveying.

• 1+ years of experience in a related field (electric, gas, water meter maintenance/installation/reading, or gas line detection/surveying).
